Eva Vanneste

Eva Vanneste began her career as a research volunteer in local and international associations. Subsequently, she spent six years in international cooperation, coordinating sustainable rural development projects and programs, with emphasis on agro ecology, solidarity economy, community organization, gender equity and human rights. Since 2014 she continues to learn and contribute in these areas as a freelance consultant.

Eva studied medical cultural anthropology at the University of Amsterdam and later at the University of Heidelberg, Germany. The fascination with cultural diversity was the reason why she decided to stay in Guatemala. In addition, she has several years of experience in environmental education and has not left the volunteer work, getting involved in organizations such as Antigua Green School or the Asociación EcoActiva Guatemala.

She is passionate about nature and a fervent admirer-defender of ecology and biodiversity. It motivates her to find practical and creative ways to live in a more respectful way and in harmony with the natural environment.
