Daniel Apiquian

Portfolio Manager
Daniel is a financier, with more than 5 years of experience in advancing investment solutions to improve the conditions in which the capital, society and the environment interact with each other to generate long-term shared prosperity. Daniel is currently Portfolio Manager at Alterna for the Catalyzer Fund, an investment vehicle financed by the IADB Lab for early stage social enterprises in Guatemala. Prior to Alterna, he worked as a Senior Investment Analyst and as Manager of the angel investors' regional fund network at Angel Ventures, the official Venture Capital fund for the Pacific Alliance. He has also worked as an Impact Investment Associate at SVX Mexico, an investment consulting firm, part of the MaRS Center for Impact Investing in collaboration with the Toronto Stock Exchange (TMX), where he was responsible for establishing strategic relationships and providing advice in impact investment to individual high net worth clients and institutions interested in this assets. In addition, he was responsible for leading the SVX certification process as the ninth Company B (B Corporation) in Mexico. Daniel has studies in Administration and Finance from the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico, and in International Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.

Curious fact
Daniel is Mexican and his two grandparents are immigrants from Armenia and Hong Kong. He is a lover of jazz, boleros and guacamole.
